Dear Donna
I'm so sorry!

How awful about losing your friend, and so suddenly. I wish it just weren't happening.
I admire your positive mind-set of how you can honor her by providing a legacy for her. She is fortunate to have friends like you. It sounds like you are each blessings to one another.
I feel really bad for your friend's general situation too. Cancer is a weird disease. After reading "
Love, Medicine and Miracles," a book on cancer survival by Bernie Siegel, i can't help wondering if the whole dumping/divorce thing contributed to her sudden illness.
I hope her days are peaceful. I am sure it helps to have you and the other friend support her, and assure her that her family will be taken care of. I am also confident you will find a way to see it through Donna, monies and all. You are so resourceful. Or maybe a way will find you, because you and your friend deserve it.
