Probably those former bullies are on medication now. Or at least they should be. They might have been messed up in ways that could have benefitted from medication. Also, they would have done less damage that way.
I wish schools and our whole society did a better job of
1) locating who needs med help, and
2) providing the medicine and monitoring.
