Autonomic is a form of PN. It affects the sympathetic and/or parasympathetic nerves in the periphery. This results in aberrations of blood pressure, digestion, sweating, and other things the the autonomic systems control (they are mostly automatic).

Sensory PNs affect pain,pressure, hot, cold, positional sense mostly.
Sometimes sensory PNs arise in the dorsal root ganglia along the spinal cord.

Motor PNs affect movement of the muscles...usually this is demyelination of axons.
