Your anxiety is the stressor that will slow or prevent recovery. Anxiety hormones can reek havoc on your brain. As I said, some counsel/therapy to help you learn though behaviors would be good. Getting control of anxiety will greatly improve your life.
I also suggest you have a ENT look at your sinus issue. I am a believer in chiropractic but it should resolve your sinus problems, not maintain them. You may have developed an unstable upper cervical structure that leaves you more vulnerable to injury and inflammation. Does your grandfather tell you to ice your neck after a pop? He should.
