desi,
someitmes the reason u can't do anything after a block is because of the sedation they use....i've had blocks without sedation (i actually prefer it that way) and could have done just about anything afterwards....i'm not a hero, i just hate the drunk feeling from sedatives and i tend to over-react to them anyway, so my doc is willing to let me keep myself calm with breathing exercises.
