So you don't use microwaves, don't watch tv, don't use wireless phones or cell phones, don't use wireless computers???

The difference between these types of electronics and smart meters is that one can choose to turn these electronics off or not use them. A wireless smart meter transmits pulsed EMF 24/7; sometimes at rates that exceed cell phone pulses 100 fold. It can not be turned off and in some jurisdictions, the choice to have one or not is being removed.

In answer to your question though; no I do not use microwaves, TVs (have chosen not to own these), or wireless electronics; with the exception of a cell phone for urgent calls only while I am away from home (1-2 times/week).
While I can't control what goes on outside of my home, I choose to not have or use these things within it...just as I choose to not allow people to smoke in my home.

I mean when the meters came out I loved that no one had to walk all through my property anymore and never had a problem and we had them for yrs.

Meters can be wired directly in to transmit through power or phone lines; thus removing the EMF, and the need for a meter reader. I read my own gas meter and email the reading to the gas company monthly. Once a year they come out and do the reading themselves. There is no reason that the electrical company could not also receive readings in this way.

I can understand being worried about something that is right there in your face but te meter would have to make it through concrete or bricks.

It is designed to do exactly that. Concrete, wood etc is no barrier to EMF; only steel/metal is; to some degree.
The pulsed EMF is designed to permeate the home and mesh with all electrical sources, including 'smart appliances'; and to then transmit that information through your and other nearby smart meters (your neighbours), over a grid and ultimately to a collection meter that transmits it to the power company via satellite.
The collection meter might be the one on your house; and because collection meters receive and transmit data for over 100 homes, they transmit at an even higher rate of EMF.
The majority of the pulsed EMF waves for all smart meters are at meter height, which is the height of most people's heads; and those EMF radiation waves enter and travel through the neighbourhood, the homes, the heads and bodies of those who reside within those homes.

plus is risk with everything we do and use in our life. we have this disease and we never thought we were going to get that and microwaves and tvs didn't give it to us.

Of course; and I agree with you there.
I'm not suggesting that EMF causes MS or any other disease.
What I'm concerned about is the potential for EMF to contribute to overall stress, which is known to be related to the development of most diseases.

As a potential pollutant; I think that people should have a choice as to whether or not they want that potential permeating their home or not.
The imposition of smart meters removes that choice; and that is what I object to...

...I do not consider myself to be a tin-foil hat (don't use those either), wearing, paranoid, extremist nut-bar; but I am seeing some similarities between my country's policies and those of a country where I once lived when there was an 'iron curtain'.
Thus, I will continue to stand up for my "apparent" rights and the freedom to choose what I will and won't have in my home and on my property .

With love, Erika
