Welcome to Neuro Talk Wendi!!! Reading your post reminded me of my own personal experience. About 20 years ago I was in a rehab center instead of being home. I had my second back surgery and couldn't walk. I was told that I would never walk again...my rehab therapist....we called him Dr. Pain...told me that he was going to help me accept my disability and how to live with my pain!!! I wanted to throw anything I could reach at him! I told him to leave my room because I was never going to do that! Well, 6 surgeries later I have quit fighting and I learned more patience with myself. That's not to say I don't get anxious at times when there is something challenges me. You have found a very safe place to look for friendship and answers! Again, welcome to NT!!!!
