It sounds like you 'get' how lucky that quick decision was too. I'm RSD and depression (and TOS/fibro/occipital neuralgia/djd/recurrent bilateral hip bursitis/recurrent bilateral knee and elbow tendonitis/arthritis/high blood pressure/diabetes/blah, blah, blah tto).....and it took me 3 years with a lawyer and WC saying that I couldn't work.
It's rough to be in this position looking at lifelong disability and worrying about effective pain management, but at least having SOME financial dependability (if not full stability.....it's never enough and we still have to worry about the SSA's solvency) is one less thing to worry about. That's a relief.
