Nov. of 2010 she fell down stairs at her place, she bled at the bottom for unknown time. Her freinds from work were suspicious, ( she was very reliable). They found her and sent her to hospital, (She was not very happy with them). Her diagnosis was Intracerebral hemmorrghe, facial fracture. Her status was stable(s/s potential complicatios absent or manageable). Spent a few days in hspital and was dicharged. special care and instuctions were given to myself and her childern. (she was not very cooperative).Thankfully all turned out ok,(I Thoght).
We got married Aug. 2011, happiest she has ever been, myself included. She has been single for 25 years (past unresolved issues I suspect). Early in 2011 there were out bursts of anger (I questioned what I was getting into. Bringing together the two house holds in this economy proved stessfull ( I found myself doing most alone, leaving me frutrated). She would just leave in the mists of our tasks.
2012 was very stressfull, trying to get her place up to code for rental, Again she would leave when she felt over loaded. My motto is, deal with each day and finish then move on.This stressed her out, she felt she couldn't keep up with me. My self empolyment isn't allways the most stable, so I took on a more stable job. That didn't pan out so well due to my medical background. Her job at university became stressfull for her with all the changes due to economy. Tasks she enjoyed at home became jobs she refused to do. I wasn't able to depend on her for any help. She ran away back to her home town for weekend without evenn a single notice or phone call. I will wrap this up (allthough there is other stuff with same ID), she left the day after Xmas and has not come back home
We are seeing counselor for communication skills. Talking with her is so depressing I dread doing it. Just no solutions from her part. One good thing though, she has began to seeing a psychologist. I have been racking my brain. Finely yesterday this lit in my brain, PCS compiled with menopause- anxiety- stress- depression- past unresolved history yikes what a mess. And today I heard that women may even have more problems with concussions, at least it is less understood. Top that off I have ADD, and recently diagnosed and being treated.
Filling in a blank you may have, I have been seeing a family therapist for many years. My X is an alcoholic and had an affair.
Anyway help! any ideas? Solutions? I saw one tweet with lots of vitamines. The list is comperable to supplements I use to improve my brain function. Reduce stress seems high, I hope that don't mean doing little in every day tasks?
Hi there.

Welcome to Neurotalk.

Here is a link to our Post concussion Syndrome forum

Lots of issues on your end. I get it. Lots to deal with!!

I hope you get to the root of what's happening. Seeing a therapist is always a great way to vent and get things out in the open. Perhaps she has her own issues and she deals with them by "escaping"????

All I can do is wish you good luck and hope that things get resolved in a positive manner.

Take care and all the best

Melody
