I think she was referring to the sensation of having gloves on due to lack of sensitivity in her hands. Before surgery I had the same problem though I didn't feel like I had gloves on like she does. I have never considered it like that..but that makes a lot of sense.
I have stiffness, coldness, lack of sensitivity, numbness, pins and needles, burning and the skin itself is weird.. I get irritated if I touch certain textures (mentally irritated..like..grr) such as old shoe laces or cardboard. I never thought of it as being similiar to gloves!
