It can get better...
Hi Matt,
I understand how frustrating and lonely it can be to deal with something like this. It sucks. But there are people who can help you get better. Look up a Neuro Rehabilitation Clinic in your area and make an appt. They can help you learn to manage your brain fatigue levels, and teach you the things you can do on a daily basis to help your brain heal, and to help you manage these symptoms that are overwhelming your life. I do not have a post concussion syndrome, but have some other neurological problem that causes similar problems, plus I also suffer from imbalance and speech problems. I have been struggling with this since July and it is hell. I've been seeing a speech therapist at the Neuro Rehab Clinic for several weeks, and it's been the best thing that has happened to me since all of this started. They are so kind and helpful and know exactly why you are struggling. I promise you this will help you immensely.
I also recommend the book, Nourish Your Noggin: Brain-Building Foods & Easy-to-Make Recipes to Hasten Your Healing From Mild Traumatic Brain Injury -Concussion & Post Concussion Syndrome-, by Tina Sullivan.
Good luck!
