I am sorry you have to go thru this. It sounds very frightening.

I can only comment on drug use...Not MRI data.

But I would get a B12 serum test, and get the numerical results... It should be at least 400pg/ml (US units) and preferably higher.

Low B12 can affect brain functions. The lab ranges have not caught up with the new treatment protocols for B12, so don't accept "normal" from any doctor without the actual numbers.

In the US the gov't recommendations now for people 50 and over are to take a B12 supplement daily. It is really an important nutrient and can become very low quickly, in many people.
