Seishin, Mrs. D. is right - they need to do specific CK test to determine if it's due to your heart, your muscles or brain/bowel/neoplasm.

A CK, or CPK, can be elevated in polymyositis. Again, there are just so many different possibilities that your docs need to determine WHY! Have they tested your thyroid while there? A high CK can mean myxedema too.

I think there's a lot going on with you that needs to be figured out. You're in the right place for it and are finally getting good care.

The important thing for you to do is to speak to your doctors. Some of the reasons for your test results being high "might" be serious, so they might need to do more tests. Please don't worry. I just don't think that us "guessing" at what could be going on is helpful. I'm so glad that you are with doctors who are listening and doing something!

And that other ER doctor thought that you were fine by "looking" at you.
