That is awful...the wait time in my city for the one specialist in neuro-opt and brain trauma...12 months! So I drove 8 hours and paid myself. Our system is great for some things, but the lack of specialists is very frustrating. Apparently neuro-opt. Does not pay as well as doing cataracts and laser eye surgery, so there are few students attracted to it (in Canada and the US).
Check to see if you can find a behavioural optometrist....they can do all the same testing for vision post trauma. The NORa website may have a listing.
