Tonight for the first time I have stabbing pains inside my abdomen area - think more on my right (not flu, not food poisoning - feels different) & some milder stabbing pain my right upper chest. Overall my symptoms have gotten much worse; more intense, more frequent & more resistant to pain meds ...the past 2 weeks. Any thoughts on what is happening now with stabbing pain in these areas??? I have only been treated by Calif docs with pain meds (Gabapentin 3300mg, LDN, dextromethorphan) & two 1 hour Lidocaine infusions. I have a script for Cymbalta that I will fill Thurs. (I did review Vrae's thread about her stomach). Hmmm 1200mg dose of gabapentin tonight is stopping stabbing in abdomen. Is CRPS going internal? Love you to please advise. thx!
Hi Sallysue, so sorry you are having these distressing symptoms. Many was crps having stabbing pain and or electric shocks go thru their body or body parts. I know I did at the beginning and also when I had spread to a different body part. Originally, stabbing pain from back thru chest (with frozen shoulder)
very intense and violent. Also later after spread(diagnosed full body or generalized rsd) the electric shocks would shoot thru body, even raising my head off the pillow. As I mentioned, I don't have them any more. I just read again information on CRPS on Wikipedia and it explains this disorder in a very detailed way why all of these things can happen.
As for CRPS going internal, it can happen and does happen, but whether this is the case with you-your Dr. will have to judge. It's possible OR can be the firing off of the nerves?
I also have recently started the burning in both of my eyes. I'll get 5-6 spells a day lasting from 3-5 minutes or so. The burning is intense, stinging, like razor blades in my eyes, and extreme tearing that can't control. I've researched 'can crps/rsd get in your eyes? and RSDhope says yes. along with other sites. I knew it can from another person having it in her eyes. This has been happening to me in the last maybe 10 days. I've had CRPS since 1996 and never had any issues with the eyes, but am scared to death it has traveled there. I'm just trying to stay as relaxed as possible and calm. I think I'll up vitamin C dose to 1500mg. And I am going to see eye specialist to rule out any other issues that it may be.
Let us know how you are doing-hopefully better. loretta
