Hi - I recently tried Gralise - also a freebie trial "starter kit" offered by my Pain doc. I was reluctant to try it since I had been on a high dose of Neurontin at the very beginning of my TOS road and it didn't help then, i didn't see why Gabapentin would help now, but - was willing to try it to appease them. (You are correct that it's a reformualted "extended release" Neurontin, and as far as i know, there's no generic available yet.)

I didn't even finish the starter pack. Aside from the fact that it terribly disrupted my sleep (even more than normal) yet also managed to give me nightmares, the real problem was the cost. Midway through the starter pack I realized I should price it out to see if it was even feasible. Good thing I did: The monthly cost would have been $125 out of pocket even WITH good insurance (something like $500 per month w/o insurance). The side effects probably would have eventually gone away, but I knew it wasn't even worth going down that road because there's no way I could afford that.
