What to do when sick?
Hi all,
I've not really posted before, but I am looking for advice.
Me and my son were rear ended on the freeway in stop and go traffic in July 2012.
After diagnoses of pcs and ptsd, my son has returned to school, and I am on sick leave from teaching at university. CT scans and MRI were all clear.
My diagnoses now includes convergence insufficiency, accommodation insufficiency, vestibular issues, migraines, cervical pain and a lot of "foggy brain" (hard to read, synthesize, respond to questions, etc.)
I've used Mike's vitamin regiment, am doing vision therapy, seeing an acupuncturist and my neurologist has prescribed propanolol and trazodone. My usual week is watching the kids in the afternoon, going to appointments but I am mainly staying at home resting and walking.
My recovery had the usual good 2 days then bad 2 days, but now I am sick with flu or some virus. My question is what to do when you are sick with pcs/mbti--I feel so awful and fatigued and it's been now over one week. Is this normal?
Any advice?
This has been an amazing forum-I have learned so much from you all about the daily struggles to which family, friends and doctors can't really relate.
