Lightbulb not healthy or safe

Dear Mari,

If this were an acceptable base, the substitution of xylitol for Stevia I'm sure would be fine... but...

I am sorry to say I see some major problems with the basic formula:
  • 25 drops peppermint essential oil -
The amount seems excessive, and by a long shot to me! i'd try 2-3 drops given the amounts of the other ingredients. Now I wonder if there was a typo...
(perhaps 25 drops is supposed to be 2-5 drops?)

  • 3 tbsp baking soda -
Baking soda is abrasive to tooth enamel. it can be used occasionally, but not on a daily basis. it is also irritating to the gums (can result in gumbleed). I would not know how to substitute for this ingredient and it cannot be reduced since it is principal active ingredient. The coconut oil is soothing but I do not believe it can counterbalance these issues.

  • Fluoride content -
A good toothpaste should have adequate fluoride content. This formula contains none!
