You might also explore Pyroluria. This is a very low B6 low zinc condition that causes mental symptoms when severe. The mood swings can resemble bipolar disorder.

Not all doctors believe in this, but we have seen people on the forums in the past who improved significantly when their B6 and Zinc were normalized.

High copper levels can indicate low zinc status. (they are a dual pair and affect each other). Low zinc status also leads to hair loss. Stress can tip a person into an attack of pyroluria. They also tend to self medicate with alcohol due to anxiety issues.

I'd get the testing done. It is fairly benign if the proper doses of B6 and zinc and used, and the other drugs won't be necessary at all once correction is done.
