Default mjff is running a competition?

MJFF are running a PD competition." ???
i imagine anyone applying for grant money from mjff is competing with other researchers. in this instance, they are offering a small cash prize i assume attract non-pd researchers, clever imho. and certainly not to commercialize the prize winner's product.
i seriously doubt pd research is being held up by lack of data sharing, i think it's being held up much more by lack of a good animal models, serious lack of volunteers for trials, not yet available early detection and not yet adequately understanding the interaction between genes and environment. seems like the number of scientific papers being published to share with the scientific community goes up every year and a resulting incredible acceleration in useful knowledge. and there seems to be increasing cooperation among companies.

i read that european drug companies are cooperating more.

and of course there is the MJFF's coordinating a lot of company's efforts and cooperation.

gotta wonder how much more attention PD will get when MJF's weekly TV show starts.
