I would never talk chiropractic with a PCP. Some will refuse to continue to treat you if they know you are being treated by a chiro.

NUCCA treatments are very gentle. Mine does a gentle pressure on my upper neck behind my ear. He does this over and over, about 10 times. His wrist/hand pops during the treatment.

The NUCCA x-rays are very expensive. About $300 to $400.

The posture checking and weight checking is standard for NUCCA.

I would not want a chiro to pop my neck. The atlas to occiput does not correct by a twist and pop adjustment. It is not held by mechanical joint shape. It is held by ligaments only. Twist and pop is for C-2 and lower. The Activator technique can help with atlas to occiput.

Does your NUCCA have you ice after each treatment ? He should. It takes about 6 weeks for the ligaments to strengthen to hold atlas in proper position. The icing reduces and slows the inflammation from each adjustment which allows the ligaments to strengthen better.

You also need to be very disciplined with your head and neck posture to get the best benefit from NUCCA. If you sleep in crooked positions, you will undo the adjustment.
