Default chiropractic

Dear Claritan,

i think that right from the start your chiropractor did not respond well to your concerns, by focussing on posture and by leaving doubts in your mind as to why he did not take x-rays.On top of that, the treatments you are receiving do not seem to produce any noticeable changes, to say the least...

With evidence based practice, x-rays are no longer the norm or required if you will. On the other hand , any professionnal practicing chiropractic would probably take some x-rays because it gives so much info about general alignment , malformations etc.(all stuff that seems medically irrelevant but can really influence a chiropractor's choice in terms of what and how to adjust).

That said, NUCCA technique is in no way superior to any other techniques.

Also you have to know " that the twist and pop" (jointmanipulation/adjustement) that some poeple refer to in this forum, is a very safe form of treatment when applied by a well trained professionnal, that is, a well trained chiropractor.

So basically, if your chiropractor does not respond to your health concerns,I would change professionnal regardless if the new one does NUCCA or not.

I would go by the referral of people around you and would choose someone with some experience because mtbi symptoms do overlap neck symptoms and are therefore harder to treat.

The most important thing is to develop thrust in your new chiropractor, meaning that you have to feel that he/she genuinly wants to help you recover and that he understand your health concerns.
