4) I was notified today that my surgery will be in the hospital not the day surgery center where the trial was performed, the reason given was that they needed more equipment . Anyone else ever had the SCS done this way?

So happy that you have your date set and that you are comfortable in your decision (that is so important).
1) Mine was turned on one week later, when I had my follow-up visit with the dr and rep...when my staples were removed.
2) For the surgical pain, they gave me meds to help. Keep in mind that this pain is different and only temporary.
3) Mark gave great advice on this...DO NOT overdo anything. Very important that you follow instructions!
4) Mine was an overnight stay in the hospital.
