It's so good to hear that your sister is doing well and breathing on her own.

I see boredom as a great sign. There is a liveliness about it... it says "I want to do something," even if a person might not know what to do, or might have to do something different - as is the case with your sister now.

A month seems long but it will come and go. The laptop and the TV will help her pass the time. That was great of you guys to bring them to her.

There are some kinds of losses that leave a permanent scar. At first there is an open wound that hurts beyond belief. In time, the pain gradually subsides, but even after the wound heals, a scar remains in its place. The most we can do with it is accept such a scar as part of ourselves, and treat it with kindness... maybe even extra kindness.
