But neuropathy is such a catch-all term for problems with peripheral nerve that almost anything is possible--and it's certainly not outside the realm of believability that if you have a syndrome related to circulatory problems, for example, that exercise/movement might enhance the circulation and help mitigate symptoms. Certainly, exercise to tolerance is recommended for those neuropathy sufferers for whom it is possible, though.
Can you tell us more specifically what your test results are? My suspicion is that the medical people may have only scratched the surface as regards investigating possible causes of your symptoms--there are over 200 known causes of neuropathy (though many cases remain stubbornly idiopathic even after extensive testing). I highly recommend the Liza Jane spreadsheets--put together to be a very comprehensive listing of tests for neural symptoms, and a way to track results over time:
