I'm 57, in my 13th year of PPMS, which has no FDA approved medication. I get prescribed different things by different doctors, discard some as they do notrelieve discomfort, medications intended to help my fatigue made me tireder. Nobody knows me like me. No doctor could ever discover just not watching a tv with a certain viewing angle relieved neck and arm pain. It's a lot of tweaking and trial and error. I do believe I am my best advocate. Anything "official" will be too late for me.
