I had the CHIARI surgery last year, and in my case some aspects of the Chiari are completely gone while others never went away. The symptoms that remained tend to flare up when I am sick or when the weather changes or sometimes for no reason at all. The surgery isn't a panacea, despite what some neurosurgeons will tell you, but you may want to have an MRI to be sure that your cerebellum hasn't herniated again, it can happen after an accident or with a connective tissue disease. Also, a syrynx could be possible, I would recommend seeing your Neuro as soon as possible
.
Best wishes!
