I recently had one of those infamous talks with one of my docs; the way she explained about SCI and SD is: Not everyone with SCI will also have SD (though people can have both). One will be primary; the other secondary.
SCI is neurological. SD is orthopedic.
Anywhoooooooooooo... I thought of you, JB, when I heard one of the authors speak about this book (and I'm picking up a copy for a friend's son, with his mom's okay, of course):
"The Dangerous Book for Boys." I think: Pick up a copy for yourself. There's a reason, a really good one for why I'm suggesting you also get a copy and read it
