sally had a great idea. i'm sure a disability lawyer could answer that Q and i bet they wouldn't even charge you. it's worth investigating.

you're right about the wait. i waited 18 mos and was turned down the 1st time. i got a disability lawyer and then got approved. i had cobra during most of that time and boy was it expensive.

from my bad experience the advice i can give you is to make sure your dr(s) document, document, document what's happening with you. and, if they can do any testing to substantiate it so much the better. i let my drs send in the info and then got told in my denial letter that they hadn't gotten some crucial info.

so, get the papers yourself, copy them and send it in yourself with a return receipt requested. that snafu cost me a lot of time.
