I had 400 more fava bean seeds soaked and ready and planted them
this morning and need to dig a place for yet more. The time
changed Saturday nite and I didn't notice when sunrise was Sunday (was
up early hoping for daylight around 6 AM and instead was closer 8 ..
...oh well ...could have slept in! We had rainagain today. For 2 months now , the soil has not had a chance to dry out completely here...so I am still just using my mattack to clear
small places to be able to plant favas. So thankful for this farm and
strength to still get things done. God is good.

Thanks Rick for the site. I happen to be an OLD Mother Earth News
Magazine enthusiast. When my daughter was in college..the school
library decided to sell the collection of "Mother" that had been donated and on
their shelves for many years. Not very many people ever looked at
them. I purchased most of the issues they had for 25 cents a piece.
Doesn't sound like much now, but then it was a big decision and I
browsed each one quickly before deciding which ones to take. I had to
struggle to even buy the college books for my daughter and pretty much
lived on beans and tomatoes from the garden. But, we made it! She
became Valedictorian of her class after homeschooling from 5th grade
on...it was worth it all.
My library is open anytime if you want to read Old Mother Earth News magazines!
