Dear Mari
I have a gazillion frames so I will not be "picking out" anything at all!

The decisions I have to make are expensive ones but not fun ones.

Well they are about as fun as jumping off a cliff and hoping a cloud will sail conveniently by and let you land on it. (a cloud, ... or a magic carpet

But, I digress.)
I am not looking forward to this acquisition process. My needs have become complicated. I need solutions for each of the following:
-- distance vision, photochromatic
-- computer-distance vision, photochromatic (or light tint)
-- distance vision, dark for migraines
-- computer-distance vision, dark for migraines
My dad went to the shop I intend to try, and was happy with the results. I will go there and if she still has the trial offer dealy on progressives I will try them. I know many people rave over them but I am not keen, and my dad hated them. We shall see... certainly they kill two birds with one stone and I have more birds than most!
My last script came from an opthalmologist and he screwed it up. I've had prior problems here with the actual lenses becoming cloudy... stupid stuff.
Currently, I am wearing a pair of glasses that were made up for me in California about 15 years ago - yeah, these are the most functional ones I own! So wish me luck getting
at least one functional solution here!

about the WEATHER
We are supposed to get SNOW tomorrow and Monday so that will be interesting. Snow does not bother me but I have been a real homebody and have not gone out in it this year. Maybe this Monday I can make it to the eye place here in town, with the snow as an incentive.
