Default Recovery after 11mm colloid cyst removal

It is my understanding that they aren't dangerous unless your spinal fluid is building up. I personally had an 11MM Cyst removed in June, 2011. I too was misdiagnosed on several occasions. My surgery was done as an emergency I didn't experience headaches just pressure that felt much like a sinus infection. Then I suddenly started to vomit uncontrollably and was admitted in the hospital for dehydration. Then 2 days later was sent by helicopter to
Have an emergency surgery to relieve the pressure. I personally ended up in ICU 21 days. Your case most likely wont be as severe. The most painful time for me was while I was waiting for the team, scope, and surgeons to align. After the removal I recovered quickly even though my colloid cyst was rather large considering. I was actually in the gym days after getting out of the hospital. I hope this calms your nerves some.

My most recent problems have been with depression and mood. I'm not sure if its related to my cyst or not. Sometimes I think I'm crazy. I don't mean to be. I'm so damn sensitive and get my feelings hurt too easily. But it's not all the time so I don't know what my deal is.

They originally told me it's being caused by lack of sleep and stress. I have a 2 year old that likes to get me up at 2 am and work sucks, made sense. That was 3 months ago. Another doctor in the same practice told me on a seperate visit, that it may be an inner ear infection. Put me on antibiotics and sent me on my way. Still having issues so they ordered the CT Scan. The doctors office didn't even call me back, I had to call them to get the results! The secretary on the phone read me the report and said I have a cyst. They called back later to say I should have an MRI done. Done, I called the docs office to see if they received the report. Again, the secretary answering the phone read me the results! What the hell!!! I asked her to have the doctor call me back. She told me there is nothing wrong with the MRI and I should be fine. I googled everything on the CT Scan report and WOW! What a surprise!! I think I need a neurosergeon. I love this forum and the fact that I can read others posts to see what is going on. Any one else in recovery after surgery? Trying to get an idea of what is to come.

Thanks!
