You might end up using an SSRI instead. I was quite skeptical at first after trying Celexa, it was a bad experience to say the least. I weaned myself off, never wanting to go near a SSRI again. After Zyprexa, Xanax, Celexa and just being doped up, nauseous, weak and hungry, I was tired of it. After the whole skadoosh with my psychiratist telling me I was bipolar and a schizoaffective, I dumped her. She didn't understand me, I was in fear, panic 24/7, sick all the time, and felt isolated. All she knew is what my mother told her about my mood swings.

Then came a light of hope, I was scheduled to see our town's best psychiratist, he saw me, took a close look, and said, "You look awful. Are you in pain?". I nodded. He did some tests for memory, asked me questions and my life history like all psychiratists do. He said it, plain as day, "You have emotional symptoms of PCS. You are depressed." Things went uphill from there. I saw a therapist who let me get my fears out, my PCP who checked on me, my psychiratist, and my neuro. They were my go-go gadget team for the longest time.

My last stop ended on Paxil and Remeron. Paxil was prescribed to me after a rushed trip to the ER after Gabapentin and Cymbalta sent me to what felt like death. So does Paxil work? Yep, it does. Am I proud I took it? Yeah. Paxil killed off my anxiety while the Remeron ended my depression and my last symptoms of IBS. So give a shot, and sorry I typed so much. I got carried away again!
