If someone grew their own and didn't travel outside CA at all, it would be a more viable option.

If it is legal I do not see the issues. As much as I remember mary jane was a great drug..I can definately see the benefits for chronic pain patients, and you can eat it as well, IE happy brownies and or cookies.. I have know people to make sauce with it as a spice..(for themselves of course)
as far as alcohol.. ohh yes with enough booze it will take the pain away but the side affects can be ...BAAAD if you do not know your limits and if you do not hydrate..
