Flare up situations will happen no matter the best laid plans of you and your caregivers. Just gotta push through. I have been glad the farther I am from last flare, the longer stretch I seem to have between flares.

God has been good to me with the whole of using that stim, even sometimes wicked high to manage if a flare erupts. I have been staying away from the meds in our safe, as I want to be fully independent of them. Worst case scenario, yup, I would use as directed, and as Pooh also urged.

Even so, when that stim is cranked wicked high, I induce a state of paralysis of my lower body making any movement impossible, so I make sure I have first been to the restroom, then made the way to bed, THEN crank that stim to my limits of tolerance. Doc urges caution on extreme use since there are no white papers on what happens if the induced paralysis could produce other harm. SO...... I use with care...... document the event..... have my spouse watch over me, then when things relax, downplay the signal so stim resumes its management status.
