NSAIDs may help ..and some people do find relief with aspirin too.

This suggests an inflammatory type of PN. NSAIDs and aspirin reduce Cox-2 cytokines which come with inflammation.

Diclofenac is a lipophilic NSAID, and as such penetrates the brain.
Ketorolac, and indomethacin also cross the blood brain barrier.
All of these also tend to be more toxic over time.
