Do you think he is in pain? I know it made a huge difference when I was finally treated for chronic pain. I did not react well to any of the anti-depressant medication. In fact it made me much worse. Does he complain about pain a lot? Moan or whimper? Does not want to move because it hurts?
So sorry you and him are going through this. A brain injury is so devastating not only to the person but to their loved ones as well. You can come talk to us on the traumatic brain injury forum. I know the good people there have helped other caregivers. Good luck to you and you husband.

Had MVA in 2006 resulting in post concussive syndrome manifested by cognitive impairment, chronic pain/ fatigue. Chronic pain of head, neck, back, left leg.
Other problems include REM sleep behavior disorder, nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy, chronic migraines associated with nausea/vertigo, episodes of passing out, hypoglycemia, liver dysfunction (had accidental overdose of acetaminophen in 2009) had liver and kidney failure, hernia, degenerative disc disease with compression of nerve root, PTSD, and other problems associated with functioning problems from traumatic brain injury (light, sound sensitive, easily overloaded, easily distracted, cannot focus, anxiety problems etc.)
