Default PCS or Pre Syncope?

Hi All,

Just having a bit of a pitty party this week.

Went to see my Cardiologist on Monday for a check up. I have Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy and have to be checked every couple of years.

Told him about the PCS and we went over the symptoms that I have.

He was very concerned about the periods of lightheadedness and when they occur. Said that it could be pre syncope which is a warning sign for an increased risk of sudden death.

Talked about the need to have an implanted cardiac defibrillator.

Sent for an ECG. Discussed the results today.

We decided to do an ECHO before deciding on whether to have the surgery.

By the way, Sidney Crosby is basically our home town boy here so I have not had any doctors discount the PCS. Guess I'm lucky that way.

Just needed to get this out.

Thanks
Virginia
