I believe when SSA says that back pay check covers you through the end of March that they are saying that back pay check included payment for March.

That March payment is what your hubby will be looking for the third Wednesday of April.

You got him there. You were just a bit off in your terminology in saying that you think they paid you through April. If they included the payment that you would otherwise expect IN April, they were still just paying you THROUGH March.

My payment FOR March 1-31 will come April 17th. That check comes IN April, but it is FOR March. Does that make sense ?

I apologize in advance if you do "get" that and it's just my hangup on you saying "payment through April" and "paid through". My take on "through" (and the SSA's) is about the benefit period covered and you could just have your focus on when the money arrives, which is reasonable.

I had a similarly confusing issue over when my son's last family benefit check would come when he turned 18 the month after he graduated high school.
Right- I was phrasing it wrong. He didn't get his check...so his April check will come in May. He and I just talked about this....and he understands that he gets paid a month behind. Oh and I bit my tongue and didn't say the I told you so...it's all good. Thanks for your help. He finally did get his award letter. Now just waiting on the LTD company to come up with how much they say we owe them back.

Oh and I read in award letter about payment to attorney(he got paid first for a set sum). However- it did say that the atty could charge us additional costs for ordering records, etc. I thought the flat fee covered all of that...but guess they can tack on additional costs.

Just so glad it's over...
