I get that at times. Usually when I have not been active enough, like during the wet/rainy winter.
Also could be the whole myofascial connection, if we are stiff & tight due to adhesions/sticky tissues it can tend to spread thru the fascia as it is all intertwined.

To be sure, it is NOT unrelated.
The first time my legs kicked out was during physical therapy. The next time was the 2 week point after Botox (which is exactly when Botox is supposed to start working). This is not a seperate issue and because I could feel my thoracic region and nerves stretching when i stretched my legs, I know it is all working together.
It is kinda super cool that it may mean I am getting *better*.
