Hi flopper,
If your neuro saw any spiking in the eeg it is abnormal and they can usually find the area of the brain triggering sz. For many yrs. my neuro thought it was my right temporal lobe but when I had a vegg where they placed the electrodes directly on my brain they found sz. activity on the left side of my brain as well. It wasn't until I had brain surgery that they were able to see the brain damage was to deep in my brain for any form of eeg or any test to pick it up. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!
