How much of a false positive would the blood tests show if one only stopped taking the vitamins 24 hours before a blood test? Let's say B12?

Once someone is over 1,000 for B12 should they stop? Isn't there a point where too much B12 can be bad? There are some articles online that claim B12 over 1,000 can cause problems.
