Spencer had piles and piles of vomiting his first year of life. What did he do? "Cough, cough, cough - vomit" It appeared he was gagging. We wondered if it was baby hymlich (sp?)

There were several theories.

1. Milk protein allergy
2. Encephalitis from vaccine
3. Abdominal migraine (wrong pattern)
4. Abdominal tumor (CT Scan ruled out)
5. Aspiration (swallow study ruled out)

In Spencer's case, it was most likely some combination of the 1st and 2nd items.

I changed Spencer's formula and within a couple of weeks the vomiting started to subside.

We tried a milk trial the SAME weekend he contracted and was hospitalized with Rotovirus. Talk about lousy stinkin' luck!

The GI asked the next time we do a milk trial on Spencer that we do it through his office.

We haven't tried since. We just avoide milk. It isn't that painful since Trevor and I are also off milk so it actually makes it easy since the pantry is set up that way.

Since Spencer was barely a year at the time, I tried several of the "allergen" pre-digested whey formula products. He either hated them or he chucked on them.

So, we ended up with a Soy formula.

Good luck. The chucks are just NO FUN!
