I could be mistaken, but I thought the diagnostic inj were usually marcaine (sp)or Novocain type mixes and called a block?
But I suppose botox might be used also..

I think sometimes the marcaine or Novocain mixtures or botox inj can be ongoing as treatments.

But I don't have any first hand knowledge on those, so I hope others that have been that route will chime in and share what they know about it.
