The decompression is a computer controlled traction system---both have plus and minus and dangers depending on the spinal problem. The major problem that come from the inversion is nothing montiors the stretch its a constant pull against the joint like a tug of war. The decompression machine montiors the strech so its not to much. Personally--- if you have a spine problem I would see a good neuro or ortho spinal surgeon first get mri . I seen some success but alot of people made worse from traction systems period. IMHO i would rather work with a therapist that deal with spines then seeking out my own treatment plan---who knows what damage is being done in the long run from inversion tables and the prob with decompression machines are expensive 5k for 20sessions and I dont think there covered by insurance yet. Even if you pay that out no gurantees it will work.
