There is a suggestion to mainly shop around the outer edges of a grocery store, that's where the most basic & healthier foods can be found.
The produce, dairy, fresh meats/seafood, breads sections.
Try to avoid the over processed and prepackaged stuff in the middle isles.

Steaming, baking , poaching, broiling are much better than frying.
Turkey, pastas w/a light sauce, and large serving of veggies is good.
Some basic home exercise plan /activities might be better than those extreme fitness programs.
