If you had MG antibodies, chances are very high that you have MG. MG is nothing to mess with! You can have what's called an "MG crisis" where you are generally weak, can't swallow OR can't breathe well. That is an emergency. If you are ever so weak that any of those things happen, you need to go to an ER or dial 911.

Mestinon does help but it doesn't do anything to reduce the immune attack on your body.

Frankly, I don't think you can compare diseases. Some people with MS do well and some people with MG can barely make meals for themselves. And then there are those people who have BOTH diseases. Do they say they're "lucky" because they don't have lupus too?

Having a disease is difficult. And it takes awhile to get used to it. Listen to your doctors and definitely ask a lot of questions. While they might know a lot about the disease and treatments, they do NOT know what it's like to live with MG.

I hope you get really great care and feel better soon.
