the calcium is from fossilized coral calcium and the magnesium is a combination of mag oxide, ctrate and aspartate. It also lists magnesium stearate as an other ingrediant. It states that this coral calcium is not harvested from living coral reefs but from above ground sources in an ecologically friendly manner. It is a Now brand name that I trust from our local health food store. The ratio of calcium to magnesium is 2:1.
