Good for you to not take his displaced anger Nikko, you don't need it. You are a decent, kind and loving woman who deserves a man who's able to articulate his feelings better and one who isn't an alcoholic like Mike sounds like he is. You would be smart to not be 'friends' with him because he'll just take pot shots at you every now and then about your 'failed relationship' and you don't need it. At least that is what my experience has been like with ex's I tried to stay friends with.
