Sounds to me like sciatica, which starts in the back, goes into the butt, down the leg and into the foot. Sometimes it's patchy too, from what I've found. I've had it for 27 years, and there are times various parts of my leg hurt at different times. At times just my "butt" hurts, and other times my calf will hurt or my foot.

STAY AWAY FROM CHIROPRATORS until you find out exactly what is wrong with you!!! Ask your doctor for an MRI with and without contrast material to see what he can find out. Sciatica is NOT seen on an MRI, but just about everything else is - so you need a diagnosis.

If he finds you have sciatica, then your best bet would be physical therapy. Most often that will help to relieve sciatica. Pool therapy is very good for it. I wish you the very best! Let us know how you do, okay? Hugs, Lee
